The nationwide movement of school choice empowers parents with educational options that best fits the needs of their children. School choice has always been available for families, who could afford Private School tuition or relocation to a better school district. New and innovative educational programs are expanding, giving more options to parents such as public charter schools and magnet schools which compete with traditional public schools.
Private School - Private schools are not funded by tax payer dollars and not under government control.
- K-12 Public Schools – Traditional public education provided by the Government.
- Charter Schools – innovative and experimental schools operating under a contract which is reviewed periodically. Charter schools enjoy regulatory freedom from state and local rules including staffing and curriculum.
- Magnet Schools – State governed schools focusing on themes such as STEM, Arts, Career and Technical to name a few.
- Virtual Schools – Streaming video classes. Public K-12 virtual schools are regulated by the government and provide curriculum, teacher and academic support as well as coaches depending on your state.
Home Schools - Usually conducted by parents in the home with or without formal curriculum.
